Terri is the owner and founder of Teramisu
Terri graduated from Jefferson Community College with an A.A.S. degree in Math/ Science in 2008, an A.A.S. in Physical Therapist Assistant from SUNY Canton in 2010 and a certificate in professional bodywork and massage from the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage in Rochester, NY a year later in 2011. Trained mainly in the 1000 islands, Terri received her master’s training in 2019 in Usui Reiki.
Currently, Terri is a part of the APTA, ABMT, and in BLS certified, as well as trained recently certified in therapeutic cupping. Terri studies to be a doula for her local community through being an active support and pursing a degree in Nursing from SUNY Canton to better serve and support her local community, specifically mothers and the surrounding military families Terri also plans to sit for the national board of reflexology in 2020.
Compassionate and eager to continue her education and experience in the healthcare field, Terri demonstrates passion, dedication, hard work and honesty in her therapeutic treatments and bodywork session. Since completing school in massage therapy in 2011, Terri’s work experience included working as a traveling Physical Therapist Assistant in various settings including special nursing facilities in Virginia, Texas, Colorado and in NYC. Additionally, Terri has worked in various spas and salons has worked alongside chiropractors and other professionals, such as Doctors of Physical Therapy, Speech Pathologists, and Occupational Therapists, to name a few. Working in various settings, Terri adopted an approach to therapeutic touch with healing modalities not limited to the following: Post-operative home exercise interactions and education; therapeutic massage including the use of muscular energy techniques; passive and active range of motion; Reiki, reflexology and therapeutic touch for prenatal massage clients as well.
Terri enjoys being a mother and an active participant in her local community, providing chair massages and community meditation and Reiki circles in order to improve the awareness and availability of holistic treatments to the community in which she was raised.
